中国雷电 - Real-time Lightning Weather Forecast

中国雷电 is a weather service client developed by Beijing Huafeng Innovation Network Company Limited on behalf of the China Meteorological Administration's Public Meteorological Service Center. This client provides real-time lightning weather conditions and near-term forecasts to the general public across the country. It offers location-based lightning forecasts and warnings, danger assessments, historical data queries, monitoring reports, lightning safety knowledge, and a lightning photo gallery.

Using your smartphone's location, 中国雷电 provides real-time lightning conditions and forecasts, delivering minute-level meteorological information for the safety of individuals, electrical appliances, power facilities, buildings, aerospace vehicles, and communication equipment.

The server-side of 中国雷电 is based on the "China Lightning Monitoring and Near-Term Forecasting System," jointly developed by Dr. Zhang Guoping, Chief Engineer of the Public Meteorological Service Center of the China Meteorological Administration, and Researcher Yao Yeqing, Chief Meteorological Officer of Anhui Province. The real-time lightning data is processed using ground-based lightning detection network and Fengyun-4 meteorological satellite lightning positioning data, achieving spatial positioning accuracy within a hundred meters and second-level monitoring. The lightning near-term forecast system utilizes advanced technologies such as big data and machine learning to forecast lightning occurrence frequency in 2-hour intervals with a spatial resolution of 10 kilometers and rolling updates every 10 minutes.
